Adaptable, flat-floor learning studios for collaboration and team-based learning
Overview
The Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine (SFESOM) building at the University of Utah features adaptable, flat-floor learning studios designed for collaboration and team-based learning. Learning studios can be divided and sub-divided to transition between large group presentations and small group collaborative work. Classrooms are equipped to support both in-person and remote, cross-disciplinary learning.

For Credit Classes
Classrooms and learning studios may be reserved on a priority basis. "For credit" classes in the MD Program are given scheduling priority. All classes are entered into the University's scheduling system.

Non-Credit Room Scheduling
When availability permits, classrooms and learning studios may be scheduled for receptions and events for a fee. The SFESOM building events model is currently under review and will become available in 2027. Event requests will not be considered until that time.
